FAQs
At MILIKA, we strongly believe that therapy can be a game changer and a key vehicle for transforming life challenges into opportunities for healing, personal growth, and happiness. We understand that it takes courage, vulnerability, and engagement to get the most out of therapy, and we offer our compassionate and expert guidance to help you along your journey to mental wellness and resilience.
Keep in mind that therapy is completely voluntary and you will be able to make choices along the way.
If you are uncertain at this time about starting therapy, take advantage of the free 20 minute phone consultation to see if this is the right step for you.
MILIKA session rates vary based on the level of clinician experience and the service you are seeking. The clinicians at MILIKA are considered to be “out-of-network” providers, which means that you pay us for the services, and then receive reimbursement for a percent of that fee from most PPO insurances with out of network benefits. While insurance providers have reimbursed our clients 40-80% of session costs, insurance plan coverages can vary. MILIKA will be able check your insurance benefits so you can make an informed choice about the costs associated with therapy before you make any commitments.
To help with the reimbursement process, we also offer concierge services to submit the superbill to your insurer on your behalf.

There is no one size that fits all. Your clinician will collaborate with you to determine the length of treatment that is clinically appropriate for you. The frequency of visits and the length of treatment can vary for each client as it depends on the specific needs of the clients and the pace of progress made in treatment. Most clients typically meet once a week; however, your clinician may recommend to increase or decrease the frequency based on your unique needs. While brief treatment may be as short as four to five sessions, longer term therapy could last months to even several years.
When engaging in a resilience skills training program at MILIKA, the duration typically spans from 8 to 12 sessions. The exact number is tailored to accommodate your individual strengths, challenges, and desired goals. Collaborating with your clinician ensures the development of a personalized roadmap for your mental wellness journey, providing clarity and guidance every step of the way.
The clinicians at MILIKA are clinical psychologists, so no medications will be prescribed by them. However, your clinician can provide referrals and help you get connected with an excellent psychiatrist in the community (psychiatrists are the ones that do prescribe). Your clinician can collaborate with your psychiatrist for coordinated treatment and help you reach your goals.
Please contact MILIKA with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. You will be charged your full session fee if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time (also please keep in mind that insurance companies may not provide reimbursement for it). You can cancel by calling or emailing the center, or going to the client portal on your Jane App.
